01 -
Stir yeast, warm water, and 1 tablespoon of sugar together. Set it aside until it gets bubbly, around 10 minutes.
02 -
Combine the flour with the rest of the sugar. Add instant yeast here if that's what you're using.
03 -
Pour the yeast mixture, milk, butter, and egg into the dry mix. Gently stir everything until a rough dough shapes up.
04 -
Use a mixer or your hands to knead for 10-15 minutes. You're aiming for a smooth, stretchy dough.
05 -
Grease a bowl lightly, place the dough inside, and cover the top. Allow it to grow to twice its size (about 90 minutes).
06 -
Flatten the dough to about ¼ inch thickness. Coat the surface with Nutella and scatter the chocolate chips evenly. Roll it up tightly into a log.
07 -
Take string or floss to neatly cut the log into 6 equal pieces.
08 -
Arrange the slices in a greased tray, drizzle some cream at the bottom, and scatter mini chocolate chips on top. Let the rolls sit for 30 minutes.
09 -
Preheat your oven to 374°F (190°C) and bake the rolls for 15 to 17 minutes, until they're golden and lovely.
10 -
If you'd like, spread some butter atop the rolls. Best served warm and melting!
