Turn the oven to 400°F to warm up. If the chicken tenders are frozen, leave them out on the counter for about 5 minutes so they're easier to slice.

Take a 9x13 dish and evenly spread a layer of mashed potatoes. If they're cold, heat them up a little so spreading isn't hard.

Scatter the corn on top of the potatoes, then sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese across it.

Cut the chicken tenders into small chunks and spread them evenly over the cheesy corn layer.

Bake it uncovered until it's hot and the cheese melts—15 minutes if using fresh chicken or 20 minutes for frozen.

While the dish bakes, make the brown gravy in a saucepan. When the casserole's done, pour as much gravy as you'd like on top and enjoy it warm.
