Korean Beef in a Bowl (Printable Version)

Juicy ground beef packed with Asian seasonings, spooned over rice with toppings you can mix and match.

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 2 cups of cooked white rice
02 - 1 pound of ground beef (80/20 blend)

→ Seasonings

03 - 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
04 - 1 teaspoon of minced ginger
05 - A pinch of salt and pepper, more if preferred
06 - 2 green onions, sliced
07 - 3 minced garlic cloves
08 - 2 tablespoons of soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free

→ Optional Toppings

09 - Kimchi
10 - Pickled veggies
11 - Fried egg
12 - Thinly sliced cucumber
13 - Toasted sesame seeds

# Steps:

01 - Wash your rice and then cook it however you like—on the stove, in a rice cooker, or with your Instant Pot.
02 - Sauté the beef over medium heat until it’s browned and no pink remains, roughly 5 to 7 minutes. Remove any extra grease.
03 - Mix in the garlic and ginger, letting it cook for a minute or two. Then pour in soy sauce, sesame oil, and sprinkle green onion slices. Add salt and pepper to your taste.
04 - Put the cooked rice in a bowl, add the beef on top, and pile on any toppings you like. Sprinkle sesame seeds or extra green onions to finish.
