Big, bold burger layered with crispy hash browns, bacon, fried egg, and pepper jack cheese. A super satisfying comfort meal anytime.

# Ingredients:

→ Patties

01 - 2 lbs of ground beef (80/20 ratio for best results)
02 - 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
03 - 1 ½ teaspoons of ground black pepper
04 - 1 ½ teaspoons of salt
05 - ¼ cup chopped yellow onion
06 - ¼ cup minced jalapeño peppers

→ Sauce

07 - ¼ cup mayo
08 - ¼ cup ketchup
09 - 1 to 2 tablespoons of sriracha (adjust the spice level to your flavor)

→ Toppings

10 - 2 cups of crisped-up frozen hash browns
11 - 4 thick slices of melted pepper jack cheese
12 - 4 large burger buns
13 - 4 eggs fried until whites are firm but yolks stay soft
14 - About a tablespoon of butter for toasting buns
15 - 8 pieces of bacon, made crispy

# Steps:

01 - In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with all the seasonings, chopped onion, and jalapeños until just mixed. Shape the mixture into 4 evenly-sized patties, each slightly wider than the buns you’re using. Push down lightly in the middle to keep them flat during cooking. Let them chill in the fridge while prepping other components.
02 - Stir together the mayo, ketchup, and sriracha in a small dish. Taste and adjust how spicy it is with more or less sriracha as needed. Keep it nearby.
03 - Cook frozen hash browns in a skillet until brown and crunchy. Fry up your bacon until it’s crispy. Lightly butter the sliced part of your burger buns. Make sure all your add-ons are warm before putting the burger together.
04 - Heat up the grill to roughly 450°F. Throw the burger patties onto the grates and cook untouched for 3 minutes. Flip them over and let them go for another 1 or 2 minutes. Add a cheese slice on top of each patty and finish cooking to your preferred doneness.
05 - Put your buttered buns cut-side down in a low-heat part of the grill to toast them up. At the same time, fry your eggs over easy in a pan, ensuring the whites are cooked through but the yolks stay drippy.
06 - Start with a generous smear of hangover sauce on the top and bottom buns. Place a burger patty on the bottom bun, followed by hash browns, crispy bacon, and a fried egg. Pop the top bun on and dig in while everything’s piping hot.

# Notes:

01 - This makes hefty burgers, so go for big, sturdy buns that can hold everything together.
02 - The small indent in the burger patties keeps them from puffing and helps them cook evenly.
03 - Feel free to swap in whatever cheese you have on hand or add something extra like avocado.
04 - Keep all parts warm when putting the burgers together; it'll taste better that way.
