01 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
02 - 2 pounds potatoes, sliced thin
03 - 1 onion, sliced thin
04 - 1 pound ham, cooked and diced
05 - 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
06 - 1/2 teaspoon paprika
07 - Salt and pepper, adjust to your liking
08 - 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
09 - Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for decoration)
10 - 1/2 cup sour cream
11 - 1/2 cup milk
12 - 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded

# Steps:

01 - Turn your oven on to 350°F (175°C) and make sure to grease a 9x13 pan.
02 - Place half of the potato slices at the bottom, then stack half of the onion slices, half of the ham, and half of the cheddar. Do this again with the rest of the ingredients.
03 - Combine the mushroom soup, milk, sour cream, garlic powder, plus a pinch of salt and pepper in a mixing bowl. Spread it across your layered dish.
04 - Use foil to cover the dish and bake it for an hour.
05 - Remove the foil, sprinkle the top with paprika and Parmesan, and bake another 20-30 minutes until it’s golden brown and the potatoes are soft.
06 - Sprinkle chopped parsley on top if you’d like right before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Want a crunchy top? Toss breadcrumbs with melted butter and add them alongside Parmesan cheese during the last 20 minutes of baking.
02 - Switch up the soup! Use cream of chicken or celery for a flavor twist.
