Chicken with Sweet Potato (Printable Version)

Tender chicken and sweet potatoes caramelized with fragrant spices in a single pan.

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into pieces
02 - 1 medium onion, chopped
03 - 3 garlic cloves, chopped small
04 - 1 lb chicken thighs without bones or skin (or choose 2 big breasts)

→ Seasonings

05 - 1 teaspoon ground cumin
06 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
07 - 1 teaspoon of paprika
08 - 1 teaspoon salt
09 - 1/4 teaspoon optional chili flakes

→ Additional Ingredients

10 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
11 - 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
12 - 1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary or thyme

# Steps:

01 - Dry the chicken and rub it with salt, cumin, pepper, and paprika.
02 - Pour 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan and heat it. Place chicken in and fry 4-5 minutes each side until golden, then move it out.
03 - Use the rest of the oil to cook the sweet potatoes for about 7-10 minutes until they brown. Toss in the onion and garlic, cooking for 2 more minutes.
04 - Put the chicken back in, stir in herbs, cover the skillet, and cook for 5-7 minutes until the chicken is 165°F inside and potatoes are soft.
