Combine the yeast, sugar, salt, and flour together in a big bowl. Pour in warm water and oil, then mix until you’ve got dough. Knead for about 5 minutes until it feels smooth in your hands.

Let the dough sit still for 10 minutes to relax.

On a surface dusted with flour, roll the dough out so it forms a rectangle about 14x9 inches.

Spread BBQ sauce all over the dough but leave an edge. Sprinkle on the chicken, cheese, and onion if you’d like.

Roll the dough nice and tight starting from the longer side, then cut it into 12 pieces that are close in size.

Arrange the pieces in an oiled baking dish, then cover and leave them alone for 30 minutes so they puff up.

Pop them into a 375°F oven for about 25 minutes, or until they turn golden. Best enjoyed warm with more BBQ sauce on the side.
