Fluffy Biscuits (Printable Version)

Perfectly light, buttery biscuits made quickly with pantry staples. Ideal for mornings or evening meals.

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 cups of plain flour.
02 - 1½ tablespoons of rising agent.
03 - ½ teaspoon of table salt.
04 - ⅓ cup of soft butter.
05 - ¾ cup of fresh milk.
06 - 1 tablespoon of melted butter for topping.
07 - 1 large egg for brushing.
08 - 1 tablespoon of milk for brushing.

# Steps:

01 - Set oven to 425°F and let it warm up.
02 - Stir flour, salt, and the rising agent together.
03 - Work in the soft butter until it’s crumbly.
04 - Make a little hollow in the middle, pour milk, mix until dough forms, then give it 2–3 minutes of rest.
05 - Knead gently, roll to about ¾ inch thick, cut out circles, and press a small dip in the tops.
06 - Coat with the egg mix and bake 12-14 minutes till golden. Add melted butter on top before serving.

# Notes:

01 - The little dip lets them rise evenly.
02 - Best enjoyed warm.
