Soft and chewy bars filled with crunchy almonds, coconut shreds, and gooey chocolate. It's like biting into a homemade version of your favorite candy!

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup chocolate chips (half of a 12 oz bag)
02 - 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
03 - 1/2 cup slivered almonds
04 - 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
05 - 1 1/2 cups regular flour
06 - 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
07 - 1 large egg
08 - 1/2 cup softened butter
09 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
10 - 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
11 - 1/2 cup shredded coconut
12 - 1/2 cup white sugar (granulated)

# Steps:

01 - Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a 9x9 inch pan with some parchment paper.
02 - Mix together flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder in a bowl.
03 - Grab a large bowl and beat the softened butter with both types of sugar until creamy using an electric hand mixer.
04 - Add the egg and vanilla to the creamed mixture. Mix everything until smooth.
05 - Add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture bit by bit. Stop mixing as soon as they’re combined—don’t overdo it.
06 - Toss in half of the chocolate chips, half the coconut, and half the almonds. Stir gently to combine.
07 - Scoop the mixture into the pan and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the top with extra chocolate chips, the remaining coconut, and leftover almonds.
08 - Slide the pan into the oven and bake for roughly 20-22 minutes, or until it’s golden and looks set. It’ll firm up a bit more as it cools.
09 - After cooling, lift it out of the pan and cut into 16 or 9 pieces, depending on the size you prefer.

# Notes:

01 - These bars give off the same flavor vibes as the Almond Joy candy everyone loves.
02 - Want to make them even richer? Drizzle melted chocolate over the top after baking.
