Fast Turkey Teriyaki (Printable Version)

Lean turkey and fresh veggies tossed in teriyaki sauce and served over rice. A fast, nutritious meal ready in less than 30 minutes.

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1 lb ground turkey, lean
02 - 1 1/2 cups white onion, chopped up
03 - 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
04 - 1 tablespoon of olive oil

→ Veggies

05 - 1 cup of frozen peas
06 - 1 cup of carrots, shredded
07 - 2 cups broccoli florets, cut into small pieces

→ Sauce & Optional Rice

08 - 4 cups cooked white rice (if you'd like)
09 - 1 1/2 cups teriyaki sauce

# Steps:

01 - If using rice, cook it following the instructions on the package. Get your veggies ready—give the broccoli a chop, shred the carrots, mince the garlic, and dice the onion.
02 - Warm up your pan over medium heat and drizzle in the oil. Toss in the onion and garlic, cooking for 1-2 minutes till golden and soft.
03 - Throw the turkey into the pan. Crumble it up and let it cook until it’s all browned, with no pink visible.
04 - Toss in the peas, carrots, and broccoli. Pop a lid on the pan and let everything steam for about 3-4 minutes, until the broccoli’s tender.
05 - Pour in the teriyaki sauce and give it a stir. Let it heat through for 1-2 minutes. Dish it up with rice, if you’d like.
