Berry Layers Delight (Printable Version)

Layers of fresh strawberries, graham crackers, and whipped cream come together in the fridge to create a cool and soft cake-like dessert.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 box of graham crackers
02 - 1 pound of fresh strawberries, sliced and hulled
03 - 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
04 - 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
05 - 2 cups of heavy cream for whipping

→ Garnish

06 - Optional: a few mint leaves and extra strawberries

# Steps:

01 - With an electric mixer or whisk, whip the heavy cream, vanilla, and powdered sugar in a big bowl until it forms stiff peaks.
02 - Take a 9x9-inch dish and spread a little whipped cream on the bottom to coat it lightly.
03 - Lay down a layer of graham crackers over the cream, snapping them into smaller pieces to fill any gaps.
04 - Spread whipped cream on top of the crackers and evenly scatter a layer of sliced strawberries on top of that.
05 - Add more layers, repeating the steps of graham crackers, whipped cream, and strawberries, and finish with whipped cream and strawberries on top.
06 - Cover the dish and pop it into the fridge for at least 4 hours, though overnight works even better for the layers to settle.
07 - Right before serving, toss on some extra berries and garnish with mint leaves if you’d like.

# Notes:

01 - Want it sweeter? Mix strawberries with a spoonful of sugar before using them.
02 - Swap out graham crackers with digestive biscuits or vanilla wafers if preferred.
03 - It’s best if you assemble this a day early to let everything meld together perfectly.
