Cheesecake-Stuffed French Toast (Printable Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Strawberry Filling

01 - 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
02 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
03 - 1 cup chopped strawberries
04 - 4 ounces softened cream cheese

→ French Toast Batter

05 - 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
06 - 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
07 - 4 large eggs
08 - 1/2 cup whole milk

→ French Toast

09 - 8 slices of thick brioche or French loaf
10 - 2 tablespoons salted butter

→ Garnish

11 - 4 strawberries sliced thinly
12 - 4 tablespoons fluffy whipped cream
13 - 4 tablespoons of real maple syrup

# Steps:

01 - Rinse and pat dry 1 cup of strawberries. Cut them into smaller chunks and put them aside.
02 - In a bowl, blend cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Carefully fold in the chopped strawberries.
03 - In a low dish, mix cinnamon, eggs, milk, and vanilla essence until it looks well combined.
04 - Spread the filling onto 4 slices of bread, leaving the edges bare. Top each slice with another piece of bread and gently pinch the sides together.
05 - Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Dunk each sandwich into the egg mixture, shake off the extra, and fry until golden, about 2-3 minutes per side.
06 - Right before eating, add some extra sliced strawberries, whipped cream, and drizzle on maple syrup.
