Fully cook the sausage links. Let them cool off just a bit.

Cut off the crust from the bread. Use a rolling pin to evenly flatten every piece.

Grab a shallow dish. Stir the eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon together until smooth.

Put each sausage on one end of the flattened bread. Roll it up tightly, using toothpicks if needed to hold the shape.

Dip the rolled-up bread in the batter, making sure it’s evenly covered. Cook in a medium-heat buttered skillet for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden.

Pull out the toothpicks, then serve while warm. You can drizzle syrup, sprinkle powdered sugar, or toss some fresh berries on top.
