Turn your oven on to 350°F (175°C) and let it get hot. In the meantime, grease up a 9×13 dish with non-stick spray so nothing sticks when it bakes.
02 -
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium flame. Toss in those onions and peppers, stirring around for about 5-6 minutes until they soften up. Then add the garlic and stir for 30 seconds until it smells great.
03 -
Throw the ground beef into the skillet with your sautéed veggies. Sprinkle some salt and pepper to season. While it's cooking, break it into smaller bits with a wooden spoon. Keep going until it's no longer pink, about 7-8 minutes.
04 -
Pour Worcestershire sauce over everything in your skillet and give it a good mix. This adds that classic Philly cheesesteak taste.
05 -
Lower the heat, then plop in the cream cheese. Stir it continuously until it melts down and blends nicely with the beef and vegetables.
06 -
Scoop out the mixture from the skillet and spread it evenly in the greased baking dish. Make sure you spread it out so every bite cooks evenly.
07 -
Lay the provolone slices neatly on top of the beef layer, then sprinkle the mozzarella all over to make a gooey cheese topping.
08 -
Put the dish in the oven and bake for around 20-25 minutes. You'll know it's done when the cheese is melted, bubbling, and slightly golden on the edges.
09 -
Once out of the oven, let your dish sit for 5 minutes to cool and settle. This makes slicing and serving way easier.
