# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 handful of grated Parmesan, a sprinkle of red pepper flakes, or a touch of fresh parsley (optional toppings)
02 - ¾ teaspoon black pepper
03 - 1 ½ teaspoons salt or more, based on personal preference
04 - ½ teaspoon dried thyme for herbal flavor
05 - 1 medium cabbage, green or red, cut into thick slices
06 - 3 tbsp melted butter or olive oil, your choice
07 - 1 tsp garlic powder for a strong savory kick
08 - 1 tsp smoked paprika for that extra depth of flavor
09 - ½ tsp onion powder for an extra layer of taste

# Steps:

01 - Crank up your oven to 400°F (200°C). Get a big baking tray and either grease it lightly or pop some parchment paper on it to prevent sticking.
02 - Toss out any wilted leaves on the outside of your cabbage. Carefully cut it into slices about ¾-inch thick, holding the core intact so each piece stays together. Use a sharp knife for the cleanest cuts.
03 - Blend the melted butter or oil with garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper in a little mixing bowl. Brush each cabbage slice generously on both sides so they’re nice and coated all over.
04 - Spread the cabbage slices in a single layer on the baking sheet. Make sure they’re spaced out. Slide them into the oven for about 25–30 minutes, flipping them once midway. You'll notice crispy, golden edges when they’re good to go.
05 - When the cabbage is done roasting, let it rest for 2–3 minutes. Add any toppings you like, such as Parmesan, red pepper flakes, or parsley. Bring it straight to the table and dig in while it’s hot!

# Notes:

01 - For air fryer fans: Heat it to 375°F (190°C), cook the cabbage for around 10-15 minutes, and flip halfway.
02 - Pick a cabbage that's firm and feels heavy, with leaves packed snugly together.
03 - Coat with enough oil! It helps the edges turn crispy and golden.
04 - Try mixing it up with seasonings like Cajun spice or curry flavors for fun.
05 - Save extras in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Heat it back up in an oven or air fryer to get that crunch.
