Original Joe's Layers (Printable Version)

A stacked sandwich brimming with roast beef, salami, turkey, and ham, plus fresh lettuce, mayo, and flavorful Russian dressing.

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 8 pieces of plain white bread

→ Meats

02 - 1/2 pound of thinly sliced salami
03 - 1/2 pound of deli-sliced turkey breast
04 - 1/2 pound of tender roast beef slices
05 - 1/2 pound of deli ham, sliced

→ Toppings

06 - A pinch of salt and black pepper
07 - 1/4 cup chopped dill pickles
08 - 1/2 cup shredded cheese like Swiss or American (if you'd like)
09 - 1/2 cup tangy mayonnaise
10 - 1/4 cup of creamy Russian or Thousand Island dressing
11 - 1 cup crisp iceberg lettuce, shredded

# Steps:

01 - Spread mayo on one side of 4 pieces of bread and lay them flat.
02 - Stack the meats, starting with salami, followed by roast beef, turkey, and ham. Mix in lettuce and dressing between layers.
03 - Place a layer of cheese over the last meat, if you'd like.
04 - Spread mayo on the remaining bread and place on top. Gently press everything down to hold it together.
05 - Let the sandwiches rest for 30 minutes to really bring out the flavors. Then slice them into smaller squares or rectangles.
