Melt the butter in a big skillet on medium to high heat.

Sprinkle salt and pepper onto the salmon. Start with the flesh-side cooking in the hot pan for 3-5 minutes till golden. Flip it and let it cook another 3-4 minutes until the internal heat reaches 145°F.

Move the salmon to a plate, cover it loosely with foil to keep it warm, and lower the heat.

Stir together orange juice, honey, soy sauce, garlic, and cornstarch slurry (if needed). Pour it into the pan and let it simmer until thick, roughly 30 to 60 seconds.

Put the salmon back in the pan and toss it around so it’s coated in the glossy glaze. Add orange slices to decorate if you’d like.
