# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
02 - ½ pound (about 2 cups) of dry bowtie pasta
03 - 1 (13oz) pack of cajun andouille sausage, sliced into rounds

→ Sauce Base

04 - 1 teaspoon of cajun spice blend
05 - 1 cup of heavy cream
06 - 1 tablespoon minced garlic
07 - 1 (10oz) can of Rotel diced chilies and tomatoes
08 - 2 cups (14.5oz can) of chicken broth

# Steps:

01 - Add the chicken broth, tomatoes, cream, and seasonings to the skillet and mix in the pasta. Cover with a lid and let it cook on low heat for 14 minutes.
02 - Brown the sausage slices in a big skillet over medium heat for about 5 minutes, then move them onto paper towels but leave the drippings in the pan.
03 - Sauté the minced garlic in the leftover drippings from the sausage for a minute.
04 - Throw the cooked sausage back in with the pasta and stir in the shredded cheddar until it melts beautifully.

# Notes:

01 - Give your cajun seasoning a taste first—some brands can be really salty!
02 - Feel free to toss in veggies like broccoli, bell peppers, mushrooms, or onions for variety!
03 - Prefer it mild? Go for mild diced tomatoes and smoked sausage.
