01 -
Turn your oven to 350°F. Line up a big baking tray with parchment or lightly coat it with oil.
02 -
Heat up a big pan on medium-high. Toss in the ground beef and crumble it while it cooks for 6-8 minutes. Make sure there's no pink left.
03 -
Remove any leftover grease. Mix in the Italian seasoning and keep it on the heat for another minute to bring out the flavors.
04 -
Drizzle in the pizza sauce and blend it well with the seasoned meat. Let it cook down for 3-4 minutes until it thickens slightly.
05 -
While your meat simmers, line up the bun halves cut-side up on the prepped baking tray. Keep them from touching each other.
06 -
Scoop plenty of the hot meat mixture onto each bun half, spreading it evenly all the way to the edges.
07 -
Generously sprinkle the cheddar shreds on top of each bun, making sure the meat is fully covered.
08 -
Put the tray in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes. The cheese should melt, bubble, and start to brown around the edges.
09 -
Allow the pizza burgers to sit for a couple of minutes before serving. You can eat them open-faced or close them up with the other half of the bun.
