Cheese-Filled Onion Snack (Printable Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1 cup mozzarella sticks, trimmed to onion ring size
02 - 2 big onions, chopped into thick 1/2-inch rings

→ Coating

03 - 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
04 - 1 tablespoon paprika powder
05 - 2 cups blanched almond flour
06 - 1 teaspoon table salt
07 - 1 tablespoon garlic seasoning

→ Egg Wash

08 - 1/4 cup milk or unsweetened almond milk for fewer carbs
09 - 2 large eggs, whisked well

# Steps:

01 - Heat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lay some parchment on a baking tray. Pull onion slices apart into single rings.
02 - Find matching onion rings and sandwich a cheese stick inside, pressing gently to hold them together.
03 - In one bowl, combine the almond flour with all the spices. In a separate bowl, stir the eggs and milk together.
04 - Take an onion ring stuffed with cheese, dip it in the egg mixture, then cover it completely in the seasoned flour mix.
05 - Arrange coated rings on the prepared tray. Bake for about 15–20 minutes until crunchy and golden. Let cool a little before eating.
