Golden mashed potato balls packed with melty cheese, hugged by crispy bacon, and fried until gloriously crunchy.

# Ingredients:

→ Main Components

01 - 2 cups of chilled mashed potatoes
02 - 1 large egg
03 - Salt and black pepper to season
04 - ½ cup of plain bread crumbs
05 - Chunks of cheddar, about 1 inch thick (1 piece per potato ball)
06 - Bacon strips (1 strip for each bomb)
07 - Frying oil (try canola or similar)
08 - Serve with sour cream for dipping
09 - Toothpicks for keeping everything in place

# Steps:

01 - Mix up the mashed potatoes, egg, some salt, and pepper in a bowl until blended smoothly.
02 - Take a scoop of the mixture, cover a chunk of cheddar in it, and shape it into a ball.
03 - Coat each potato ball with bread crumbs, making sure it's fully covered.
04 - Take a strip of bacon, wrap it around each ball, and hold it in place with a toothpick.
05 - Heat your oil to about 350°F. Fry 1 or 2 bombs at a time until the bacon is crispy and they're golden.
06 - Set fried bombs on some paper towels to drain. Remove the toothpicks and enjoy with sour cream while warm.

# Notes:

01 - These are filled with cheesy goodness, creamy potatoes, crispy bacon, and fried to perfection.
02 - They work great as a fun snack or a shareable starter.
03 - Using cold mashed potatoes helps make them easier to shape into balls.
04 - Frying a couple at a time ensures the oil stays hot and cooks them evenly.
