Healthy Seafood Meal (Printable Version)

Flaky cod baked in a zesty mix of butter, garlic, and lemon, topped with bright herbs—so easy to pull together and full of light, fresh flavors.

# Ingredients:

→ Key Ingredients

01 - 4 pieces of cod (6 ounces each)

→ Zesty Sauce

02 - 1/4 cup of melted, unsalted butter (60g)
03 - 2 tablespoons of olive oil
04 - Juice from one lemon (about 3 tablespoons)
05 - 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
06 - 1 teaspoon lemon zest
07 - 1/2 teaspoon paprika
08 - 1/2 teaspoon thyme (use 1 teaspoon if fresh)
09 - Salt and pepper, season how you like

→ Toppings

10 - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
11 - Lemon wedges for serving

# Steps:

01 - Heat your oven up to 400°F (200°C). Grease a baking dish lightly with a bit of olive oil or spray.
02 - Stir the melted butter, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, lemon zest, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper all together in a small bowl.
03 - Lay the cod fillets flat in your baking dish. Pour the zesty sauce over each piece, coating them completely.
04 - Put the dish in the hot oven and bake for 12-15 minutes. The cod should turn white and break apart easily with a fork. If your fillets are thicker, they may need more time.
05 - Top each fillet with a sprinkle of fresh parsley and a few lemon slices. Enjoy it hot with sides like rice, veggies, or salad.

# Notes:

01 - Turn up the heat: Toss in some red chili flakes to spice up your lemony sauce.
02 - Switch it up: Swap cod for white fish like tilapia or haddock—they cook just as well.
03 - Keep leftovers: Store any extras in a sealed container in the fridge for up to three days.
04 - Double it up: Pair with greens like a garden salad or roasted veggies to make it a meal.
