Savory Ham Rolls (Printable Version)

Golden rolls packed with ham, Swiss cheese, and a zesty butter topping.

# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - Pizza dough in a 14-ounce can

→ Filling

02 - 12 pieces of deli ham sliced thin
03 - Swiss cheese, about 9 to 12 thin slices

→ Sauce

04 - 6 tbsp of butter, melted
05 - Half a tablespoon of Dijon
06 - 2 tsp Worcestershire
07 - Optional: 1 tsp finely chopped onion
08 - Optional: 1 tsp poppy seeds

# Steps:

01 - Heat your oven to 350°F. Either butter the inside of a 9x13-inch dish or use parchment paper to line it.
02 - Lay the pizza dough flat on a cutting board and stretch the edges to make a clean rectangle.
03 - Evenly spread 12 slices of ham on the dough, then layer with 9 to 12 slices of Swiss cheese.
04 - Roll the dough tightly from the shorter side. Cut the roll in half, and then cut each half into 6 pieces, making 12 slices total. Place the rounds in the baking dish.
05 - Bake the dough for about 15 minutes.
06 - In a small dish, mix together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, onion, and poppy seeds, if you're using those.
07 - Take the cooked rolls out of the oven and coat them with the sauce mixture. Pop them back in for another 10 minutes or until they're golden brown on top.
08 - Let the rolls cool for about 5 minutes in the pan before serving them warm.

# Notes:

01 - Store-bought crescent roll dough works as a replacement for pizza dough, or you can make your own.
02 - Prep ahead by doing steps 1 through 4 the night before. Refrigerate and bake the next day, adding the sauce later.
03 - Keep leftovers in a sealed container in the fridge for up to three days. They're also tasty eaten cold!
