Slice the bananas into chunks roughly 1 inch (2.5 cm) long. Keep them aside for later use.

Combine everything listed under 'Coating Mix' in a large mixing bowl. Stir the batter until it's smooth. Add the banana chunks gently to the batter, coating them evenly.

Pour 2–3 inches (5–7 cm) of oil into a small pot and turn the heat to high. Check if it's ready by looking for a fine swirl of smoke above the surface.

Place the battered banana pieces carefully into the hot oil. Fry them in smaller batches, flipping each piece so they cook to a crispy, golden-brown finish on both sides.

Take out the crispy banana pieces using a slotted spoon and lay them on a paper towel-lined plate to soak up any extra oil. Continue frying the rest. Serve hot with powdered sugar, chocolate sauce, or maple syrup.
