Toast Roll-Ups (Printable Version)

Sausage-filled French toast that's rolled up and easy to dip. Great for parties or a breakfast kids can enjoy.

# Ingredients:

→ For the roll-ups

01 - 10 pre-cooked sausage links
02 - 10 slices of sandwich bread

→ For the French toast coating

03 - 3 eggs (large size)
04 - 1 teaspoon of vanilla
05 - 1 tablespoon plain flour
06 - Butter for greasing your skillet
07 - ½ cup milk (whole)
08 - ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder
09 - 3 tablespoons sugar

# Steps:

01 - Squash down each bread slice using your hands or a rolling pin. Trim the crusts if you like them looking uniform.
02 - Set a sausage on one end of the bread and wrap it up tightly. Repeat with the rest and set them aside.
03 - Whisk up the eggs, milk, flour, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla in a shallow bowl until smooth, with no bits left.
04 - Pop a griddle or large frying pan on medium heat. Melt a generous dab of butter so it doesn’t stick.
05 - Roll each bread wrap in the egg mix, covering it evenly all over, and pop it onto your hot, buttery pan.
06 - Let them cook for a few minutes per side, turning every so often until the whole roll’s golden. This should take 8-10 minutes total.
07 - Take them off the heat and serve right away. Add maple syrup for dipping or a quick drizzle over the top.

# Notes:

01 - The egg mixture can be prepped the day before and chilled in the fridge.
02 - Store leftovers in the fridge for 1-2 days and reheat with a microwave, air fryer, or toaster oven.
03 - Switch out sausages for sweet fillings like peanut butter and banana, Nutella, or strawberry cream cheese.
04 - Freeze these up to 3 months! Reheat straight from frozen using your toaster oven or microwave.
