Puff Pastry Snacks (Printable Version)

Simple puff pastries packed with ham, cheese, spinach, and creamy eggs. Great for brunch or snacks.

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 sheets of puff pastry, defrosted (17.3 oz total weight)
02 - 1 cup diced ham, cooked
03 - 1½ cups Gruyère cheese, shredded
04 - 1 cup spinach, freshly chopped
05 - 1 green onion, thinly sliced
06 - 6 large eggs
07 - ⅓ cup milk (whole)
08 - ⅔ cup cream (heavy)
09 - ¼ tsp garlic powder
10 - ½ tsp ground black pepper
11 - ½ tsp fine sea salt
12 - A small pinch of ground nutmeg

# Steps:

01 - Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) to preheat. Mix together the ham, Gruyère, spinach, and green onion in a bowl. In a second bowl, whisk eggs, cream, milk, garlic powder, pepper, salt, and nutmeg until smooth.
02 - Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a floured surface into rectangles about 14 by 12 inches. Slice each into 12 even squares.
03 - Grease the wells of a muffin tin lightly. Push a pastry square into each one, shaping it to fit snugly.
04 - Spoon a tablespoon of the ham mixture into each pastry base. Pour the egg mix over it, filling the cups up to about two-thirds full.
05 - Pop the tray into your oven and bake for 17–20 minutes. Look for golden brown pastry and set egg filling. You can check if it’s cooked by inserting a toothpick—it should come out clean.
06 - Take the tray out and let everything cool down for around 5–10 minutes before serving. Serve warm and dig in!
