Banana Bread Chocolate Chips (Printable Version)

Super soft bread packed with chocolatey goodness. Greek yogurt makes it tender while overripe bananas add just the right sweetness.

# Ingredients:

→ Banana Bread with Chocolate Chips

01 - 1 1/2 cups (380g) of mashed, ripe bananas (usually about 3 to 4 medium ones)
02 - 1/2 cup (100g) granulated white sugar
03 - 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar, packed tight
04 - 1/2 cup (110g) melted butter (unsalted)
05 - 2 eggs, large
06 - 1 teaspoon vanilla
07 - 1/2 cup (130g) Greek yogurt made with 2% milk (sour cream works too)
08 - 1 1/3 cups (180g) plain flour
09 - 1 teaspoon of baking soda
10 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
11 - 3/4 cup (140g) tiny chocolate chips, plus a bit extra for sprinkling if you like

# Steps:

01 - Heat your oven to 325°F. Prep your 9x5 loaf pan by greasing it and lining it with parchment paper.
02 - In a mixing bowl, stir together the flour, salt, and baking soda. Keep it nearby.
03 - In another mixing bowl, stir the melted butter and sugars until they form a thick paste. Mix in the mashed bananas, then toss in the eggs, vanilla, and yogurt.
04 - Add the dry mix to the wet mix and gently combine. Stir in the chocolate chips.
05 - Pour the batter into your pan and smooth the top. Add extra chocolate chips on top if you’d like. Bake for 60-75 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with just a few damp crumbs.
06 - Once baked, let it cool down completely before you pull it out of the pan. Keep it fresh in an airtight container at room temperature.

# Notes:

01 - Sub gluten-free flour (1:1 blend) for a gluten-free loaf
02 - Sour cream can take the place of the Greek yogurt
03 - Choose bananas that are super ripe for the richest flavor
04 - Keep it sealed tight and at room temp for storage
