Choco Strawberry Bliss (Printable Version)

Moist chocolate cake layers with fresh strawberries, creamy frosting, and an irresistible ganache topping. A true crowd-pleaser.

# Ingredients:

→ Cake

01 - 1 cup boiling water
02 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
03 - 1/2 cup vegetable oil
04 - 2 large eggs, room temperature
05 - 1 cup whole milk
06 - 1 teaspoon salt
07 - 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
08 - 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
09 - 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
10 - 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
11 - 2 cups granulated sugar

→ Frosting

12 - 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted and cooled
13 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
14 - 2 cups powdered sugar
15 - 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature

→ Ganache

16 - 3/4 cup heavy cream
17 - 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate

→ Garnish

18 - 24 ounces strawberries

# Steps:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F. Prepare two 9-inch pans by greasing them and dusting with flour.
02 - Combine the dry stuff. Toss in eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla, and beat well for 2 minutes. Mix in boiling water. Distribute evenly into pans and bake for 30-35 minutes.
03 - Whip the butter until light. Add in the powdered sugar and vanilla, then blend in the melted chocolate once it's cooled to room temp.
04 - Drizzle hot cream over chocolate and let it sit for about half a minute. Stir till smooth, then give it 5 minutes to cool.
05 - Stack the cake rounds with frosting in between and sliced strawberries on top of each layer. Pour ganache over the entire thing, then decorate with whole strawberries.
