Pepperoni Cheese Roll (Printable Version)

Mozzarella and pepperoni tucked into pizza dough, baked until golden. Slice it up and serve with marinara sauce for dipping.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 rectangle of pizza dough, ready to go.
02 - 1/2 cup thinly cut pepperoni.
03 - 1 cup mozzarella, shredded up.
04 - 1/4 cup Parmesan, finely grated.
05 - 1 tsp of a mix of Italian herbs.
06 - 1 egg, whisked for brushing.
07 - 1/2 cup marinara for dipping.

# Steps:

01 - Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) to preheat. Dust your surface with flour and stretch out the dough into a rectangle shape.
02 - Spread mozzarella over the dough but stop about an inch from the edges. Lay the pepperoni slices on top of the cheese.
03 - Finish the filling by adding grated Parmesan over the top and sprinkling the Italian herb blend.
04 - Start rolling from the longer side, tucking the edges as you go. Place it seam-down onto a greased tray.
05 - Coat the top with a thin layer of the beaten egg. Cut tiny vents across the top for the steam to escape.
06 - Pop it in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until it’s nice and golden. Let it cool a little before slicing.

# Notes:

01 - Keep the roll tight to avoid unrolling during baking.
02 - Don’t skip the slits on top—they help release steam.
03 - Serve it warm, pair with marinara on the side.
