Pudding Layers (Printable Version)

An easy Southern no-bake dessert with cream-soaked vanilla cookies, fresh bananas, and velvety pudding layers that melt together.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
02 - 2 cups milk, cold
03 - 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
05 - 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
06 - 4-5 bananas, ripe and sliced
07 - 11 oz package vanilla wafers

# Steps:

01 - Pour the pudding mix into a big bowl, add the cold milk, and whisk for about 2 minutes until it thickens slightly.
02 - Add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract, then softly stir in the whipped topping until mixed well.
03 - In your serving dish (a 9x13 pan or trifle dish does the trick), add a layer of vanilla wafers, then banana slices, followed by the pudding mixture.
04 - Repeat the process: wafers, banana slices, pudding mixture. Keep going till the ingredients are used, with pudding ending things off.
05 - Cover with plastic wrap and pop it in the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight. This helps the flavors blend and wafers soften.

# Notes:

01 - Sprinkle crushed vanilla wafers on top for a nice finishing touch before serving.
02 - Pick bananas that are yellow and firm for the best bite and sweetness.
03 - Eat within 2 days to keep it fresh, as the bananas will start to darken after that.
