# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 8 small croissants
02 - 4 smoked cheddar slices (or regular cheddar), halved
03 - 12 ounces deli ham
04 - 3 tablespoons butter, softened
05 - 2 tablespoons plain yellow mustard
06 - 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup
07 - 1/2 to 1 teaspoon Worcestershire
08 - 1 egg white, large
09 - Poppy seeds to sprinkle on top

# Steps:

01 - Set the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch pan with oil or cooking spray.
02 - Slice the croissants in half lengthwise. On the bottom half of each, layer half a cheese slice, followed by ham, then top with another half slice of cheese. Replace the top of the croissant.
03 - In a small bowl, stir together the soft butter, mustard, honey, and Worcestershire until it’s creamy.
04 - Take the butter mixture and spread it evenly inside each croissant sandwich.
05 - Arrange the croissant sandwiches snugly into the greased baking pan.
06 - Mix egg white with a little water in a small bowl. Brush this egg wash on top of the croissants and sprinkle them with poppy seeds.
07 - Pop the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15-18 minutes or until the tops are nice and golden, and the cheese is gooey.
08 - Take them out of the oven and serve them hot.

# Notes:

01 - For a twist, try sliding a tomato slice or baby spinach into the sandwiches before baking.
02 - You can make these in advance. Complete all the steps except baking, wrap tightly, and refrigerate for up to one day. Then bake as usual.
03 - Got leftovers? Store them in an airtight container in the fridge for two days max. Reheat them in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 10 minutes.
