Lay down a single layer of tots in a 12-inch skillet. Spread the rest evenly over the top, filling it in completely.

Scatter the cheese and bacon over the tots evenly. Add salt and pepper if you'd like.

If you can't see natural spaces, use a spoon to carve out 6-8 little wells, one for each egg. Crack and gently drop an egg into each space, trying to keep the yolks whole.

Pop the skillet into the oven at 400°F and cook for 22 to 25 minutes, or until the egg whites are completely solid.

Once out of the oven, let it cool down for 5 minutes. Toss on green onions, then slice and enjoy.
