Avocado Bacon Sandwich (Printable Version)

An indulgent grilled sandwich loaded with creamy avocado, crunchy bacon, and cheddar layered on crispy, golden sourdough.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 perfectly ripe avocado, thinly sliced
02 - 4 pieces of crispy-cooked bacon
03 - 4 cheddar cheese slices
04 - 4 pieces of sourdough bread
05 - Butter for spreading on the bread

# Steps:

01 - Warm up a skillet on medium heat.
02 - Coat one side of all the bread slices with butter.
03 - On the plain side of a bread slice, place a slice of cheese, two bacon strips, some avocado slices, another slice of cheese, and then close with another bread slice (buttered side out).
04 - Place the sandwich on the hot skillet. Gently press it with a spatula, cooking each side for 3-5 minutes or until golden and the cheese is gooey.
05 - Make a second one the same way. Slice them in half and eat right away.

# Notes:

01 - Put a lid over the sandwich in the pan to speed up melting the cheese and avoid toasting the bread too quickly.
02 - Mix garlic powder into your butter for an extra tasty twist.
03 - Turn this into party food by cutting each sandwich into smaller squares.
