Pizza Dogs in Air Fryer (Printable Version)

Hot dogs topped with pizza sauce, bacon, pepperoni, and mozzarella, roasted crispy in the air fryer.

# Ingredients:

→ Hot Dog Base

01 - 4 buns for hot dogs
02 - 4 standard wieners or hot dogs
03 - Half a cup of pizza-style sauce

→ Pizza Toppings

04 - 2 crispy cooked bacon slices, chopped up
05 - 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, shredded
06 - 3 oz of sliced-up pepperoni

# Steps:

01 - Turn on your air fryer to 380°F and let it heat up for 3 minutes while you go and grab everything you'll need.
02 - Pop the hot dogs into the fryer basket and let them cook for 5 minutes at 380°F until they're warmed through and a little crispy outside.
03 - While those cook, open up the buns and slather the insides with pizza sauce. It'll act as your flavorful foundation.
04 - Grab most of your pepperoni slices and arrange them down the middle of each bun, making a cozy little spot for the hot dog.
05 - Lay a cooked hot dog into each bun over the pepperoni, then pile on plenty of shredded mozzarella cheese.
06 - Sprinkle bacon bits over the cheese, and add the rest of the pepperoni slices on top for a perfect 'pizza' touch.
07 - Place the fully loaded buns back in the air fryer and let them cook for 4 minutes at 380°F, just until the cheese gets gooey and bubbling.
08 - Take them out carefully, let them sit for a minute to cool a bit, and dig in. Don’t burn your mouth on the hot cheese!

# Notes:

01 - Cook the bacon first and chop it into small pieces before starting.
02 - Keep the buns from overflowing, or the toppings might slip off mid-cooking.
03 - Perfect for game days or as a fun treat for kids!
04 - Feel free to swap in other toppings like peppers or mushrooms.
