Ham Cheese Pockets Fryer (Printable Version)

Tortillas stuffed with melty cheese and savory ham, cooked crisp in no time with your air fryer. Only need 4 things to make them in 15 minutes.

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 8 slices of deli ham
02 - 4 regular-sized flour tortillas (8 inches)
03 - 1 spoonful of softened butter
04 - 2 cups of cheddar jack cheese, shredded

# Steps:

01 - Put your tortillas on a microwave-safe plate, lay a damp paper towel over them, and microwave for 20 seconds until they’re warm and bend easily.
02 - Dice the ham into small pieces. This makes filling go around evenly and keeps things tidy for eating.
03 - Spoon about a quarter cup of cheese onto the center of each tortilla, layer with chopped ham, and scatter a bit more cheese on top.
04 - Fold all the edges inward, then fold the tortilla in half. Press along the edges so it stays shut.
05 - Turn your air fryer to 380°F and let it heat up for 3 minutes while you finish putting the pockets together.
06 - Spread softened butter across the tops of the pockets, sprinkle a bit of cheese on each, and press lightly so the cheese clings to the butter.
07 - Place the pockets seam-side down in the fryer’s basket. Let them cook for 5 minutes, checking at the halfway point to see if they’re browning evenly.
08 - Pull your pockets out carefully and leave them for a minute or two before serving. The filling is super hot!

# Notes:

01 - Heating tortillas before folding stops them from cracking
02 - Press cheese onto the butter so it stays put and doesn’t get blown around in the air fryer
03 - You can prep these ahead and freeze them for up to 3 months
04 - Every air fryer works a little differently, so cooking times might vary
05 - If you don’t own an air fryer, bake at 400°F for 12-15 minutes
